My baby is getting tubes!!!!

Addyson has been fighting a constant ear infection for the last 4 weeks. It has been absolutly miserable for her and in return to all of us. The doctors have given her 4 different antibotics and it has not cured or made her ears any better at all. On Wednesday (my 5th doctor visit in the last 4 weeks) they decided that this is an infection that will not go away unless we put tubes in. Therefore that afternoon we visited the ear specialist and we decided that on Tuesday 12/23 we are going to put tubes in. I am super nervous about the surgery. I know that it is easy and that the doctor does it at least 100 times a month, but she is my baby and I don't want to have to be put totally under in general anestetic. But, I do want her to perfectly healthy and in order for that to happen the tubes have to go in. I told the doctor to order me a valum right along with her medicines. hahaha. Parenting is definetly challenging in all of the things that you encounter. Please pray for the doctors and for Addy. Pray that she won't have any reactions and that she will be healthy and cured of the infections. Thank you so much. I know that we will definetly be able to feel the prayers. I love you all. God bless.

Poor Addy! But, I am sure she will be feeling better soon. From what I have seen working as a nurse, most kids bounce back faster than adults! They sure do look pittiful though, just give her some extra love. Hopefully the holidays will be calmer for you guys!
ps. about time you updated! ha

I know it is so scary for any parent, but from experience it is soooo worth it. Emma used to get ear infections ALL the time and we decided to put in tubes 2 years ago and no ear infection since. It's a blessing for all. PS - the worst part is putting in the drops afterwards.
We will be thinking about you.
